Google caps off I/O 2026 day one with Android 17 QPR1 Beta 3 release

What’s new: Android 17 QPR1 Beta 3 is now available for Pixel testers, following Beta 2 released two weeks prior. This update includes a minor SDK release to support features that couldn’t wait for QPR2. The release addresses several issues, including excessive logcat noise from ContextHubClientManager, Wi-Fi disconnections due to erroneous low-quality detection, audio playback issues, UI elements being cut off in full-screen mode, disappearing home screen widgets after reboot, and incorrect mobile data icon status in Quick Settings when Airplane Mode is enabled.

Who’s affected

This update is available for Pixel 6, 7, and more recent models. Users currently on the testing track will receive a notification for the update.
