What’s new: A recent bug is preventing Kindle owners from opening new sideloaded books, displaying an “Invalid ASIN” error message. Amazon has acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix.
Who’s affected
Kindle users who have recently attempted to open unread sideloaded titles are experiencing this issue. Books that have been opened previously are not affected.
What to do
- Use the three dot menu to navigate to the book and select a chapter to access it.
- Toggling Airplane Mode may help avoid redirect loops to the Kindle Store.
